The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Would Like To Know What You Think Of Them (Sorta)

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has a fairly long history, basically, if the title sponsor of the copyright in stricter and more ridiculous (and patents and trademarks). To be fair, in recent years, WIPO has been really a little more open to at least

public

people actually on behalf of the public who indicated that strengthening intellectual property laws often do more harm than good to society in general. But overall, the group is still representing the interests of copyright, patents and trademarks, rather than the general public. That is why the group was called crazy ideas as to service providers in the policy of intellectual property and suggesting that things could have been better if the site had been patented. Anyway, it seems that WIPO has hired a company to come to have "the perceptions of stakeholders of WIPO." It is rare that WIPO really listening to the public that their efforts truly impact and agreements, so here is an opportunity to ensure that WIPO know what you think of their efforts to expand IP law in the past years ... To have it, and let them know your thoughts.

Unfortunately, most questions are a little ridiculous "and when did you stop beating your wife" variety. For example, at one point asked to "rank" the importance of specific priorities of WIPO are - and looking down the list, although most of them

should not
priority, because they all involved the expansion of intellectual property, instead of seeking more effective
IP, or even to explore intellectual property could harm the public. There are a couple of questions like that, well, where I wanted to question the very nature of the issue, but was forced to choose the answer "less bad" or "less bad" instead. Yet there was little opportunity to impress upon WIPO that the organization prefers to be a representative not only of extending intellectual property at all costs, but must pay attention to what really helps society - even if it means cutting some intellectual property rules, which seems oblivious to the world view of WIPO to date.
is truly regrettable that WIPO issues accumulate so bad that all I can say about the most impressive of these is that intellectual property is and how much better it would be extended if the IP. But I hope some of you will realize how to explain to WIPO maybe I should focus on ensuring that the public benefits, not only ways to expand intellectual property.
