Open-source project intends to advance robotic surgery

a couple of years, the company gave ten Willow Garage PR2 robot robot away from their groups that deserve investigation. The idea behind the project was that these groups use PR2s for robotics research, and then share their discoveries with others, thereby advancing the field more than it would be possible if each had to build their robots from of zero.
