Adobe announced Monday the availability of Flash player protected mode for Mozilla Firefox. Essentially a version of a sandbox plugin for the popular browser, Flash Player for Firefox in protected mode is currently in beta. Hit the jump for more.

The popular plug-in is no stranger to technology sandbox, sandbox after pushing Chrome in more than a year and Internet Explorer for more than that. Back in late 2010, when Adobe first enabled in the sandbox integrated support for Flash Player Chrome, the company had alluded to the possibility that the technology will spread to other browsers.
