Google wants to speed up your site, while resisting the urge to sell you stuff

Google has many things for her, but patience has never been really high on the list - not surprising, in fact, a company that uses scooters to navigate the corridors of their offices. The search giant has taken a similar approach on the web, offering a range of services to help speed things up around the old pipes. Page Speed ??of service is the latest initiative is simply the name on this front, which seems to have offered improvements in speed from 25 to 60 percent in its first phase of testing. How does this magic work faster? Google takes the contents of your servers, to rewrite the pages with better performance, and sends them through their own servers. The service has raised some eyebrows, but insists that Google Page Speed ??service is to improve the performance, not the collection of information on advertising opportunities in the future.
