Swedish Film Institute Learning That An IP Address Is Not A Person

Earlier this month, a company anti-piracy tracking traced the origin of some Swedish films are in the Pirate Bay ... all the way to the Swedish Film Institute. After a little embarrassed and research, the Institute insists that you can not find any evidence that someone has released the film ... and are complain
piracy DoubleTrace society "is not ... with his next test." Unbelievable, I'm sure. But the most important point is that the Swedish Film Institute said that the IP address alone can not identify the user. This is, of course, entirely true. This is what many people have been pointing out for years, and that the film industry (and the music industry) is often derided as an excuse idiot. So I agree with TorrentFreak, saying:

The important thing here is that when it comes to accusations against the IFC, and the refusal of the company against piracy to make your "evidence" available, IFC should be given the benefit of the doubt.

But unlike the hundreds of thousands of other ISPs
account holders

world who receive letters stating that illegally charged a movie or a song, so pay compensation or in addition, be disconnected from the Internet, they are treated with more respect, simply because of who they are.

An IP address is not
a person, and less anti-piracy companies want their "evidence" given and tried in public, it may be better if they keep their charges themselves.
