Aston Martin V12 Zagato again had a good couple of weeks after his spectacular and popular first public presentation on May 21 on the shores of Lake Como (Italy) at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, where he won the concepts and prototypes of the class. A week later, two identical prototypes finished fifth and sixth in his class at the Nürburgring 24 hour race, making sure that the aluminum and machine craft beautiful carbon fiber were actually able to hold their own in a company. Thus began a period of what Aston Martin calls "enormous interest in promoting our clients," which eventually led to a commitment to a limited production of 150 examples of Zagato. ..
