Gogo to bring enhanced WiFi to Virgin America, expands video streaming on American Airlines

Virgin America flights are receiving benefits, even PERRIER. This week, the national airline announced it will bring ATG-4 of the Gogo service aboard its fleet of aircraft, in a move that promises to improve in-flight Wi-Fi capability by a factor of four. The update is scheduled for launch in the first half of 2012, when the company will begin to equip its planes with Gogo directional antenna, modem and dual EV-DO Rev. B technology. However, the VA is not the only company to get in the game of Gogo, as in-flight entertainment company, announced this week that it is expanding its video-streaming back to American Airlines, too. American, you remember, became the first airline to test the new service Gogo Vision in August aboard its fleet of 15 Boeing 767-200. Now, the product stream will be extended to a total of 400 aircraft of the AA, with about 200 films and television entertainment-hungry passengers. The films are available for hire 24 hours, with purchases of good television for a total of 72 hours. Current lease, meanwhile, continue to be available once the earth and can be accessed with the same browser and the device used on the flight. No word on the final price, but expands its launch Gogo ($ 1 for every TV show and four dollars per film) until October 15. Taxi from the break for details on a couple of press releases.
