Samsung delays Galaxy Tab 10.1 launch in Australia amid patent battle with Apple

Just days after suffering a setback in the legal courts of the Netherlands, Samsung has decided to delay the launch of its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia, through bringing their patent infringement battle with Apple. At a hearing today, the Korean manufacturer announced that it will not sell or market its new tablets in Australia before September 30. Samsung made ??a similar concession earlier this month pledged to halt the sale of its advice to today's hearing and provide samples of Apple products with at least seven days before its launch in Australia. The company says that the samples submitted on Thursday, but Cupertino's lawyers insisted that the Australian version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 still infringe its patents. Samsung, meanwhile, said in a statement it is preparing to launch an attack against down, telling reporters that "intent to file a complaint against a crusade Apple Australia and Apple regarding the invalidity of the patent has previously claimed by Apple as well as a counterclaim against Apple over the infringement of patents owned by Samsung to sell their iPhone and iPad. "The next formal court hearings are scheduled for September 26 and 29. Stay tuned.
