RIM confirms PlayBook OS 2.0 delayed until February, still no BBM in sight

BlackBerry PlayBook

Well, I hope you do not expect Playbook 2.0 up and running on the tablet device in the short term, because it been officially delayed until at least February. Word came from the mouth (well, keyboard), David Smith, senior vice president for the Playbook project. In a blog announced that RIM Smith stops to ensure that the version many new features, including native email and deploying enterprise applications, work as advertised. The updated operating system will have a decently long beta test with the deployment of what some in the early adoption program "soon." Unfortunately, it seems that some features have been on the road with a focus on Poland - namely, BBM. Messaging service is based on a device PIN in the model, the brand of the tablet has been problematic. For now, users must rely on RIM BlackBerry and mobile bridge to get their dose of BBM. Given the history of the company, would not be surprised if the update of the operating system slips further into the future - I remember an email client was promised in 60 days the publication ... That was in April.
