Google details its carbon footprint in new report, makes you think twice about Rickrolling someone

A new report released by the company said, revealing that the search giant emits 1.5 million tonnes of carbon per year, a figure roughly on par with the imprint of the UN operation, or slightly more than the amount produced by the whole country of Laos. The book also opens up the carbon emissions from the activity, too: the individual research performance of 0.2 g, ten minutes of YouTube gives the user through 1g and produces 1.2 kilograms of CO2 Gmail more a year - which on average corresponds to a total of 1.46 kilograms of CO2 per population through their properties. According to Google, a figure that would have been greater had not designed their data centers, achieving a fifty percent reduction in energy consumption compared to the industry average.
