AT&T's profits are down, but the carrier is still smiling

There are good news and bad news in the third quarter report from AT & T. Company profits fell to $ 3.6 million for the quarter - which is less than 12.32 billion dollars a year earlier. This decrease is partly due to the loss of exclusivity of the iPhone (an issue recently worsened with the addition of Sprint as a vehicle for 4S) and the fact that the company withdrew the product from the sale of active in 2010. AT & T activated 2.7 million iPhones in the third quarter, a sharp decline over the previous quarters. On the positive side, sales of Android devices more than doubled over the previous year. AT & T added 2.1 million wireless subscribers, from $ 100 million that the company seems quite happy, as evidenced by the video below very gay.

Update:

AT & T
left us a line to emphasize that the benefits of invoice tax of one after 2010 also contributed significantly to the profits of the company and, by extension, the drop in profits year after year.
