Firefox 8 Hits Beta Channel, Brings Twitter Search

Updates on wait time and no browser. Although the reign of Firefox 7 as the latest stable version of the browser is only two days, the countdown to version 8 has already begun. Firefox 8 is now available in beta to test the channel on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android.

If Mozilla is focused on reducing the appetite of the Firefox browser memory, while the development of 7, it is to provide a browsing experience more comfortable with version 8. "This beta adds features and user interface elements that make navigation easier and tools that help developers create more secure Web experience and innovative," wrote Mozilla on his blog.

With the latest beta, Twitter search finally gets its rightful place in the pantheon of Web services included in the integrated browser decade in the search box by default. If that does not excite you, now you can restore the tabs at the demand, "resulting in faster boot times when the windows with a large number of tabs will be restored." This feature can be enabled by going to the General tab, click Options. According to Mozilla, the tabs are easier to "rip" through "motion animation tab."

The beta also includes a number of specific improvements developers:

  • CORS for textures WebGL: Ski resources shared source (CORS) allows Web developers to load textures from other domains of WebGL safely.
  • WebSockets Updates: Firefox now WebSockets prevents the use of text when you create a page from SSL, which enhances security for users.
  • Click native HTML5 menu on the right: Web developers can now add items directly into the right click menu in Firefox using simple HTML tags 5.
  • HTML5 media elements: Developers can add a lot of video and audio elements to a website without impacting performance.
