Qualcomm has unveiled details of the next S4 SoC, and yes, there are certainly reasons for the enthusiasm with this new generation Snapdragon. First, it will inaugurate a 28nm manufacturing process with the company Krait CPU and GPU Adreno 225. The move to 28nm 45nm promises smaller components, low power consumption and enhanced thermal performance, while introducing a Krait pipeline architecture that promises a 60% increase in total on the current line of the scorpion with clock speeds 1, 5 and 2.5 GHz - with the support of memory and dual channel asynchronous multiprocessor. As for the GPU, the performance of the last chip has 50% higher than the current Adreno 220, which also provides support for DirectX 9.3 for Windows 8, and the OpenGL ES 1.1 and 2.0.
