Qualcomm launches Vellamo browser benchmark for Android devices

Qualcomm is not exactly a novice when it comes to the size of the phone - he is responsible for Neocore reference chart. Now I also want to show how the mobile browser is running. The company has just introduced Vellamo, a series of 11 tests to measure the performance of the browser on Android phones and tablets. In case you're curious, it takes its name from the Finnish goddess of the sea that attracts remote

marine internet (Qualcomm joke, not ours). And yes it will work with any device with Android 2.0 or higher, although not as a Qualcomm processor package. These tests cover four main areas - supply, JavaScript, the user experience and networks - with only two require an Internet connection (even then, may choose to run specific tests). We have taken for a ride on our aging Froyo-packing, Motorola Droid, with a score of 237 landed at the base of the results list, far behind the shelves and new terminals. (To date, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has taken the cake.) It's funny how their unit ranks? Click on the link to download the source Free APK.
