If The DOJ Really Wants To Review Anticompetitive Patenting, Why Doesn't It Look At Intellectual Ventures?

the oddities of Intellectual Ventures continued Mobility Motorola Inc., MMI is likely to be acquired by Google - Google is an investor and IV, and supposedly free from patent claims IV. It seems that once the transaction closes, the application would be questionable. In this sense, the people of M * CAM, who spend a lot of time to make a detailed analysis of the quality of patents, wrote an open letter to compel the Department of Justice. You see, the Department of Justice is studying the purchase of Motorola Mobility to see if it would be anticompetitive. Now, most people (like Google), admitted that the purchase of Motorola's mobility is primarily on patents and patents are technically a monopoly, but they are a legal monopoly. However, the pooling of patents may be anticompetitive. In any case, M * CAM I do not understand the reasons here, given that vertical integration is not considered a problem by the Department of Justice (see, Oracle, Sun). But if the patents
under discussion, M * CAM suggests the Department of Justice is "look bad"

There is a shakedown going on, but you are too concerned about the parking meters on the street to hear the clink of coins on the sidewalk.

Because
about the pooling of patents ... an intellectual adventure on the road that leads you to a wonderful pool. And lucky for you, you happen to have the vision to illuminate the pool for a swim in the night, if you decide to jump into the name of justice.
Yes, the letter then moves to an analysis of how Intellectual Ventures seems to be involved in anti-competitive behavior, which seems to go against their own guidelines of the Ministry of Justice which is an anticompetitive patent pool. It is interesting to read it all, and I was wondering which company is likely to do more to stifle innovation in the next five years: Google merged with Motorola Mobility of Intellectual Ventures
