Bafta launches young game designers competition

company wants 11 - to 16 years to take an interest in the development of creative play - benefits in the EA study is to challenge ...

Bafta officially launched its second game developers contest to encourage students to consider careers in the gaming industry. Interested participants will be encouraged to enter in groups of three to submit their ideas in writing to the BAFTA. The winner is set to be announced at the British Academy Children's Awards in November 2011. All children between 11 to 16 are allowed to enter, and the information is through the school system.

addition to the fight against the prejudices of the parents, the competition is an opportunity to remind students that the game industry is a viable career choice. When Nesta has commissioned a research paper on gambling, the report Nex Gen, found that only a fraction of the children realized the games were developed in the UK, most believe that the United States and Japan were totally dominant in the area. In contrast, Britain has produced some of the major world titles as Grand Theft Auto, Tomb Raider and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
