We wonder why Zipcar CEO Scott Griffith was scheduled keynote at CTIA MobileCon - after all, who lease cars have to do with the phone? Apparently, a lot. Griffith said in his speech that the demand for mobile Zipcar and played a much more central role in the organization. The company develops its own device support car so that customers can connect their phones to hands-free features, and most importantly, the smartphone application Zipcar is due to a major update. The current version can be used to plan a vacation and unlock vehicles, but future versions of transforming it into more of a "wizard in the car."
