Copyright As Censorship: Author Removes Blog Post After Being Threatened For Quoting 4 Sentences

surprising how often we see stories copyrights are used as censorship - even in cases where claims of copyright is clearly false. Being on the receiving end of a threat is not fun, and it is not surprising that many people choose to rent rather than fight. Back in early 2011, Patti O'Shea author wrote a post on his personal blog on "instruction on human factors" exercise you did for work. She talks about one of the exercises, in which participants received a script, then had to give priority to:
are on a plane that crashed in the desert of Sonora. The pilot and copilot are dead, but you and your classmates are unharmed. His aircraft was 70 miles of the course which was filed before takeoff and crashed 50 miles southwest of the mining camp. You have 15 elements with which to survive. Rank them from most important to least important.
following items:

themes were: a flashlight with four batteries, a big cat graphic knife aeronautical areas, large waterproof plastic, magnetic compass, compresses and bandages , 45 caliber bullets weapons fire, red and white parachute, a bottle of salt tablets, 1 liter of water per person, the book "Desert animals edible", a pair of sunglasses per person, 1 bottle one liter of alcohol (96%), light summer coat per person, makeup mirror.

In fact, I did this several times in the past (I think even in middle or high school). It is very common and seen slight variations on it for years. You can see a similar version on the site Google Lunar X Prize, for example. But there are others too. The idea is just one.

O'Shea cited these few lines, and then detail what his group chose (with an explanation of why or where they were to agree / agree), and then briefly compared to how "experts" and how your group did against everyone (who had the best score, compared to experts). However, the blog was 12 points, including one cited scenario. Of course, if you go to the blog page now, you get a very different story:
This blog has been deleted by Human Synergistics International (the company that owns the rights to the materials used in the class discussed here) has sent a notice of withdrawal claim my appointment you four

sentences violated your copyright.

I think its notice of withdrawal unfounded. As a writer, I respect copyrights and I think the budget was covered by the doctrine of fair use.

However, despite this, I removed the post. Not worth the time or energy to discuss a blog post that was nearly two years in which the notification was received.
You see, Human Synergistics International sent a legal takedown, nearly two years after the blog is past:
