Keep Calm and Carry On - Shigeru Miyamoto is not absolute

not

, and retired. This is the message being feverishly around the world on Nintendo PR machine Thursday, after a Wired News article seemed to suggest that the head of the game development company famous stepped down to focus on small projects the game.

In the news article, from an interview with Miyamoto that appear on the American edition of the magazine in December, is quoted as saying:

in our office, I recently said: "I'm going to retire, I'll retire." I'm not saying that I will retire from game development altogether. This I mean, to retreat, to withdraw from my current position. What I really want to do is be at the forefront of game development, again myself. Probably working in a small project with smaller developers. Or you might be interested in doing something I can do for me. Something really small.

video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo does not change. It will remain a driving force in the development efforts of Nintendo. Speaking of Nintendo's priorities in an interview in the media, Mr. Miyamoto explained how it is encouraging the younger developers in the company to take more initiative and responsibility for software development. He tried to communicate their priorities forward, including the supervision of the entire game development and quality assurance of all products. Mr. Miyamoto also talked about his desire to pursue new ideas and experiences of the class that generated the initial interest in video games.

Hmm, that seems to contradict the assertion directly Miyamoto ". What I mean is to retreat, to withdraw from my current position" The Wired piece points out that the interview was conducted through an interpreter and there is always a margin of error in these operations. I am not an expert in Japanese, however, but "to withdraw from my current position" seems quite clear to me.
a way, players can not breathe a sigh of relief without reservation the new Nintendo. The idea of ??the redesign industry legend very imaginative in the original investigation, rather than large projects on five years is quite intriguing.
