If these reports are valid, it would be the second round of layoffs by AMD in one year. Downsizing are technical reports of the company and sales employees, and can be severe enough to cause some product lines to peel back. Giant silicon could reveal plans next week, coinciding with the announcement of financial results for the third quarter. With the company expects a decline of ten percent of sales in the third quarter, it seems that the latest figures continue the trend of results less than perfect.
