GreenGT H2 eyes-on: the first fuel cell-powered racer to tackle Le Mans

The 24 hour race of Le Mans takes place every year is one of the toughest tests of cars on the planet: race racing machines run at full (or almost) for a complete day . Recently, petrol cars have seen their dominance usurped by diesel engines, which are lost for hybrids. The next step? It could be electric vehicles. The GreenGT H2 have the grid race next year in 24 hours as a pilot intervention, lead the race distance by pushing the water vapor in your exhaust. The hydrogen is stored in large tanks running both sides, while the fuel cell stack itself is the mass located behind the driver. Power is somewhere north of 500 horsepower, which is very good for a car that the company expects to be down in 1000 kg (2,200 pounds) when you get to the track in anger. Enough to win Le Mans? Probably not, but it will be fun to see him try.
