LeakID And The DMCA Takedown Notice Farce
Most sites can not afford to investigate notices of withdrawal to determine the veracity of the allegations. It is easier (and safer) to kill off all that to solve what is achieved and what is not. Content industries are perfectly legitimate content to kill and act without fear of reprisal.
But as the increasing number of DMCA notices, content providers often place the weapon in the hands of third infracualificada not worry about what is counterfeit and it is not. We have seen several examples of other people's content are claimed by these companies.
- Third DMCA
- PatrolBot available today made its name known malicious software downloaded by claiming an investigator of the security team itself, which leads to a closed account Mediafire researcher. LeakID, "business" (and we will explore these quotes in a moment) behind the application of dismantling many other incomplete contents do - word search in bulk. This results in false positives that swept all Real Estate
infringement, as in the case linked above. LeakID also ordered a review of Microsoft Office (available free on the Microsoft website) is taken from the user's account. That was the big news. But this is not the end of it. During start LeakID activity, all content is falsely claimed and removed by autobot too anxious.

A company called LeakID claims copyright on recordings Dunshelm players' ... In particular, and very interesting, the DMCA was placed in the commentary tracks recorded by Jake Collins, Collins Rosey, Andy Marshall, Ross Thompson, Ricky Temple and myself.
LeakID How to reach the conclusion that the comments have nothing to do with themselves is to incomprehensible, because the comments are in fact the material on the site farthest copyright to the best of my knowledge, has never violated the copyrights to any of our work, but the comments do not even include sound effects or music in the mix, are just a few km recordings lovers speak of a TV show.
September 5 - A blogger has many files deleted from your account after another demolition LeakID Mediafire, including free downloads Bandcamp and unpublished demo CDR only. Contact with certain groups whose songs have been removed from your account confirmed that they had nothing to do with the demolition.
September 6 - A Day-Z (Weapon mod) and beta fan patch has a file, the previous version of the Code made by LeakID Z Day, apparently in the name of "Metropolitan" by Hervé Lemaire ("CEO LeakID") society. (?. "Am Lemaire legal representative, who does business under the name Metropolitan" What ...) The fan in question actually had a brief conversation with Mr. Lemaire, who was almost as good as it could be expected:
I did finally take possession of Mr. Lemaire on the phone. I started to ask (in French) if an agent or representative of Bohemia Interactive or Dean Hall. He said "No". Although I had done, I did not explain why he was in contact, so maybe he thought I was a potential customer. So I asked him why he had filed a DMCA complaint against the wrong files were hosted on Megaupload. Ummed it for a second or two, then hung up. When I called back later, his cell phone was off. I have not been able to contact him since.
