Verizon updates Revolution with Remote Diagnostics, HTC turns to LogMeIn

LG Revolution

two Verizon and HTC are experimenting with remote diagnostics and support. Big Red will be offering a tool for owners of the first LG Revolution. Updating VS910ZV8 offers a number of changes, but the most notable feature is the integration of new remote diagnostic Verizon. Now when a customer calls for support, the technician (or follower script, if any) on the other side can take control of the user device for troubleshooting applications or demonstration. And, just in case you are paranoid about the keys to your phone, the only tool that gathers information such as battery temperature, the version of OS and what applications are installed - contact and other personal data are safe from prying eyes. HTC plans to offer similar functionality on their phones, but through LogMeIn Rescue. The Company's future phones preinstalled with the application for HTC own technicians can diagnose problems and adjust settings.
