CNN in talks to buy Mashable for $200m

CNN is about to buy social media site Mashable to "over 200 million dollars," according to reports.
global news network, which is owned by Time Warner, is said to be in advanced talks to acquire the site that was founded by Pete Cashmore Scot in 2005.
Reuters blogger Felix Salmon, reports the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas, said the sale could be announced as early as Tuesday in a contract worth more than $ 200 million (£ 128m) .
The New York Times reported Monday that the two companies were in advanced negotiations.
Mashable made a name covering social media and new technologies, but has extended its brief to cover business and entertainment.
