Study Finds Teens Still Like to Text, Captain Obvious Unavailable for Comment

Water is wet, fire is hot and the air we breathe is still rich in oxygen. And in other news, teens are still really into text messaging. If you have any questions, Pew Internet rounds many young people to discuss their smart phones and text messaging habits and found that adolescents aged 12-17 send 60 text messages on a given day over 50 text messages in 2009 .

About 75 percent of adolescents are lacking (text messages, that is), and most of those who send text messages are between the ages of 14-17 years of age, which rose an average of 60 texts in the day in 2009 to 100 today texts. Older girls text more, sending 100 messages per day on average, compared to half that of similarly aged men.
