Amazon buys text-to-speech software company Ivona
If you buy a software text to speech, you're not exactly going to be quiet about it, right? Amazon announced this morning the acquisition of Yvonne, the company behind the Kindle Fire Text-to-Speech Voice Guide and explore the Touch functionality. Yvonne, with the slogan "a company Amazon" in place, provides the technology in 44 voices in 17 languages. He also works closely with organizations of blind and visually impaired. Amazon.com, Inc. today announced it has acquired the leading text-to-speech technology company IVONA Software. IVONA offers world-class technologies that power the "Text-to-Speech," "Voice Guide" and "Touch" Browse by characteristics of the tablet Kindle Fire.
