Tattoo Copyright Strikes Again: Tattoo Artist Sues THQ For Accurately Representing Fighter's Tattoo In Game

About a year and a half, we wrote what we thought was just a fun theoretically post on the copyright of tattoos. The general idea was that if a tattoo artist create a unique new design, while technically are the one who gets the copyright. And this can lead to some difficult legal issues. Of course, it lasted only three weeks before this "theoretical" issue became real when a tattoo artist who became famous tattoo Mike Tyson sued Warner Bros. because the character Ed Helms plays in

ends with a tattoo similar (but not identical). WB finally settled the case to make.
As many people have told Christopher Escobedo tattooist sued video game company THQ since accurately represent Carlos Condit UFC fighter in the game UFC Undisputed 2010. Condit has a tattoo leading "lion", which is reproduced in the game. You can see the tattoo here:
